Preface
As we speak, the Chinese government is hard at work transforming their country into the largest world power history has ever seen. Their population is estimated to be around 1.3 billion, and their military personnel number in the millions. They are a communist country, previously marked by the leadership of brutal atheistic leader Mao Zedong, who made it his life's mission to have complete control over people's careers, family life, education, speech, and and even their thoughts. Any dissenters from his political agenda were extinguished, so that there would be no name higher than his. Before his rise to power in the late 1940's, there was said to be around 1 million Christians in China. After he rose to power, despite the intense opposition, Christianity began to explode on an unprecedented scale. Today, there are an estimated 100 million Christians in China, and some even say that China is on it's way to becoming the largest Christian nation. Jesus highlighted this to me around a month ago in a dream, and I think He is ready to turn the country upside down if we continue to pray.
The Dream
In this dream, I entered a department store to go shopping. Surrounding the aisle immediately by the entrance in perfect rows were Chinese people in navy uniforms performing some type of routine. "Strange," I thought. I didn't want to interrupt them, so I tried to cut through the clothes racks and get around them. It wasn't long before I realized they had taken up the entire store, and all were in perfect unison performing this routine. It almost seemed like a dance, and they were happy to do it. There was a joy and determination about them while they performed. It was contagious, so I thought "Well, if I can't beat em, might as well join em!" I jumped right in to their dance, trying to mirror their arm movements. One thing that struck me was that there were a lot of women in this army. They had their hair slicked back and in a perfect bun. I didn't think they were allowed to assume any positions of power in this culture.
As I was dancing with them and making observations, I was struck with the weighty presence of God. I could no longer stand, and I collapsed to my knees under the weight. A strong conviction came over me for the people of China, and all I heard coming out of my mouth was this: "China will know that Jesus is Lord! That every mouth would speak and every tongue confess that He is Lord!" And I just cried right there on the floor, in the middle of a department store, surrounded by an army of people from China that were dancing in a coordinated fashion under what appeared to be divine inspiration.
Prophetic Word & Prayer for China
While the Chinese government might be boasting about their army, I believe the Lord is raising up His own army--warriors that are going to emerge from the underground to boldly invade China's common places with the glory of God. Also--and I quickly realized this isn't necessarily prophetic--this move will increasingly be spearheaded by women in the church. I say this isn't necessarily prophetic, because as I was searching for photos to complement this post, I saw photos of primarily women in giant crowds lifting their hands to worship! It's already happening. The Lord, as He always does, is using who the world deems foolish to confound the wise, and He's going against the grain of man-made tradition to see who will follow Him into the uncomfortable and unfamiliar.
I also declare unity over God's people in China. God wants to unify this move so that it will be more effective. The people I saw in the dream were performing in perfect unison and with purpose. They were focused, determined, and joyful in this unity, and they all wore the same uniform. One wasn't higher ranking than the other, but it was as if all had an understanding that they were in this thing together.
China, I declare that you will know that Jesus is Lord, and for those who already know Jesus, I ask Lord that You would unite Your body together in love. This revival will no longer be considered "a mile wide and and an inch deep," but it will begin to grow permanent, deep roots all across the land as you send more laborers into the harvest to not only reap, but to sow into the leaders there. Let seasoned leaders and shepherds be raised up who have Your word burning in their hearts and who can lead Your people in righteousness, justice, and peace. I pray that the Holy Spirit would begin to cover major Chinese cities like a blanket, and not that persecution would decrease, but that boldness would increase and resolve would be strengthened as they continue to run with the vision the Lord has given them.
Thank you for my Chinese brothers and sisters, Lord, and give me also the boldness and discipline that's coming to them, in Jesus's name, Amen!
